Happy New Year!

One minute to midnight, one minute to go
One minute to say goodbye before we say hello.
Let’s start the New Year right, twelve o’clock tonight
When they dim the light, let’s begin.

Kissing the old year out, kissing the NewYear in.

Let’s watch the old year die with a fond goodbye
And our hopes as high as a kite
How can our love go wrong if
We state the New Year right?

Written by Irving Berlin for the movie ” Holiday Inn”

One of my favorite movies is “Holiday Inn”.  It has been a
tradition, since I was a little girl, to watch it sometime before
Christmas, along with “White Christmas”, the original black and
white version of “Miracle on 34th Street” and “A Charlie Brown
Christmas”.

Every individual and every family has one kind of tradition or
another that they share during the holidays or other special times
of the year.  It can be simple or complex, serious or funny,
solitary or as part of a group.  No matter what it is, it is
something that is worthy of passing along to future generations.

As we approach the start of 2010, many of you may be making up a
list of resolutions to get your year started on the right foot.
Why?  Because it is a tradition!  Millions of people make
resolutions and just as many break them – often before the end of
the first week of January!  To help you be more successful with
your list this year, I am offering you a little treat – “25 Ways to
Keep Your 2010 New Year’s Resolutions”.

If you have a habit of making resolutions, I hope this will help
you to stay on track during the new year.  If you have a difficult
time keeping your resolutions or have never made any, try turning
over a new leaf and give it a try!

I wish you and your family a very healthy, happy, and prosperous
New Year!
